Meditation and Modern Buddhism

Most people understand that the quality of their thoughts determines the quality and experience of their whole life. What we often do not understand, however, is how the mind produces these thoughts or how to change them. Most of us want to work out the issues in our lives that don’t bring us happiness.  Through learning and practicing Buddha’s explanations of the mind, we can begin to see through the limitations that we perceive and acquire the knowledge of our true potential, giving us the confidence to change.

In this course Gen Kelsang Wangpo will guide us in simple but profound meditations on the mind, through which we can experience its limitless and pure nature for ourselves. This experience will enable us to understand experientially our potential for transformation, and how changing our mind will change our world. We will also discover how it is possible to purify our mind, and consequently change both our past and our future. This course will help us to understand our life as a place of virtually limitless possibilities, and show how we can begin now to create the causes for the life we want, and eventually the enlightened life that is our highest potential.
