Based on the book Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
We are alive, therefore we will die. This is the simplest, most obvious truth of our existence, yet very few of us have really come to terms with this fact. Buddha gave extensive teachings on the death process, and how to use an awareness of our death to live a more full and meaningful life.
At the conclusion of the series we will also learn a special Buddhist prayer and meditation practice called Powa, or transference of consciousness that we can do on behalf of the recently deceased. Drop in to one class or attend the whole series. Everyone is welcome!
