In his Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, the great Indian Buddhist master Shantideva compares the uncontrolled mind to a wild elephant. Like a wild elephant, when our mind is out of control, it is capable of inflicting great harm upon ourselves and/or others. However, by using the practices of mindfulness and alertness, we can learn to tame our wild elephant mind and thus experience the blissful peace of a well-controlled mind.

During this series, we will explore the habits of mind that make us feel out of control and dangerous to ourselves and others, and we will learn about the practices that lead us to a state of mind that is focused, peaceful and powerful.

This class is being held weekly Sunday, May 7 - Sunday, Jun 25
