Everything is like lightening, quickly transformed from one moment to the next. This is called impermanence. We always believe things are the same. The reality is that everything that we see or perceive is momentary. We should contemplate this. When we understand it is the truth then we will see that there is no sense in developing attachment or anger because there is nothing remaining or abiding from one moment to the next. With this wisdom we can reduce our delusions.
In this course we will learn to contemplate and meditate on this knowledge so we develop profound wisdom. These teachings, given by Buddha Shakyamuni, will help us see that our conceptual thoughts are temporary, like water bubbles. With this wisdom of impermanence we can make our mind calm and relaxed, and solve many of our problems.
