Meditation is for everyone! Of course, that doesn’t mean we are all natural meditators. Most everyone needs help learning how to start, improve, and master the practices of meditation.

In this class, we will be looking at some basic meditation skills.  These are skills we need to bring into our practice to enjoy taking the time to meditate.

The fundamentals are important for everyone, so you can expect to meet and talk to meditators with all kinds of experience. >> I’M NOT SURE WHAT THIS MEANS.

Every class includes meditations, teachings, and the opportunity to ask questions. The classes will be available for 3 days after the original broadcast.

Everyone welcome, regardless of background or experience.

We have designed a special structure for our Thursday Meditation Classes. You can drop in for any class, you don’t need to attend the entire series. These classes are structured as a series of 6 brief topics. Attending the whole series will let you understand an aspect of meditation. We offer an  ongoing sequence of 4 different meditation class series which will give you a detailed overview of every aspect of meditation. You do not need to attend the sequence of classes in order. The 4 series are: Introduction to Buddhist Meditation, Foundations of a Strong Meditation Practice, Meditation and Mindfulness, & How to Practice Buddhist Meditation. Check our online calendar for more information about these classes.

For people with a special interest in learning to meditate, we have developed a special meditation program. This retreat is part of the special meditation program that we have at KMC Houston. The program is designed to help people improve and enjoy meditation practice. As part of this program we are offering four unique online urban meditation retreats. The retreats are approximately every six weeks (September 19, October 31, December 27, and February 13).

This class is being held weekly Thursday, Sep 24 - Thursday, Oct 29
