Is it possible to be alone without being lonely? We are used to being surrounded by people, but now we are having a different experience, isolation. When we feel cut off from others we feel lonely. If we follow these feelings of loneliness and dwell on that sense of being lonely, we become sad, or even depressed.
Let’s cut to the chase. We want to avoid the feelings of loneliness. We want to avoid feeling isolated. We want to be out there with other people! But, even then, we know that sometimes, surrounded by many people, we can feel lonely. Loneliness is like an unwelcome guest – we don’t want to entertain it any longer but we don’t know how to get rid of it.
Buddha gave 84,000 teachings to help us solve our problems – every single problem. In this course, Gen Kelsang Wangpo will present some of Buddha’s teachings which help us deal with loneliness. We will learn how to be more connected with others and overcome those negative feelings. The techniques that will be presented are accessible to everyone and easy to put in to practice.
