Kadampa Meditation Center Houston is a volunteer run, modern Buddhist meditation center that is one of over 1300 Kadampa Temples, Centers and branches in nearly 50 countries. We offer meditation classes and retreats with a focus on practical techniques to use in daily life.

KMC Houston is part of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (IKBU). Founded by the internationally renowned Buddhist Master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the IKBU has over 1200 centers and branches in over 40 different countries. Geshe-la, as he is affectionately known by his students, is primarily responsible for the worldwide revival of Kadampa Buddhism in our time.
