KMC Houston is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization that completely depends on the generosity of people who attend our classes and events, become members, or support as monthly donors. Through establishing KMC Houston, we are enabling ourselves to better serve the people of Houston who seek refuge in their busy modern lives. KMC Houston is also dedicated to bringing peace and happiness to the world and to removing suffering through offering the methods of meditation and modern Buddhism. By making a donation and helping people find the methods of developing inner peace, you are directly contributing to the potential for world peace, now and for generations to come.

Any gift, regardless of its size, is a significant gift! All donations are tax deductible. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported KMC Houston in any way – from purchasing an item in our bookstore, to making a donation, to attending a meditation class, or recommending the Center to a friend.

KMC Houston is part of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (IKBU). Founded by the internationally renowned Buddhist Master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the IKBU has over 1200 centers and branches in over 40 different countries. Geshe-la, as he is affectionately known by his students, is primarily responsible for the worldwide revival of Kadampa Buddhism in our time.
