Are you ready to deepen your practice and experience?
Unlike our weekly drop-in classes, the Foundation Program (FP) is an enrolled program designed for those with some experience of Kadampa Buddhism who wish to deepen their understanding through a systematic study of a text by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
When you join, you will experience the great benefits of being part of this study program and spiritual community. Through this, you can improve your good heart and your wisdom by going deeper with your study and meditation practice.
Class will meet each Sunday from 6:00-8:00pm, with breaks over the summer and holidays.
Many people have the compassionate wish to benefit others, but few understand how to accomplish this successfully in daily life.
Bodhisattvas are friends of the world, who have such strong compassion that they are able to transform all their daily activities into ways of benefiting others.
The path of the Bodhisattva was exquisitely explained in the universally loved poem Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, by the 8th century master Shantideva.
With this commentary, the full effectiveness and profundity of this wonderful poem are revealed in full and made applicable for our time.
This practical handbook is essential for those wishing to follow a way of life characterised by greater empathy and compassion for others.
There are weekly reading assignments of a few pages from the text, and the class includes discussions and meditations on the week’s readings.
Cost: Foundation Program Membership is $75/month (12 months/year) and includes FP classes, unlimited GP classes, and half off special classes and retreats.
Note: FP is not a drop-in class and enrollment is required. People are generally required to have attended GP (drop-in) classes for at least of 6-months to enroll.
