WHAT IS AN EMPOWERMENT?
An empowerment is a beautiful Buddhist blessing ritual and guided meditation of both the common and uncommon paths of Buddhism through which we make a deep connection with a Buddha’s enlightened mind, bringing peace, hope, and happiness to ourselves and others. The object of our meditation is actual Tantra – a realization that protects us from ordinary appearances and conceptions.
WHO IS MEDICINE BUDDHA?
Medicine Buddha is known as the Healing Buddha, or Buddha Doctor, whose function is to release living beings from outer and inner sickness. His body of blue wisdom light indicates that he is an emanation of the healing power of all the Buddhas, and his left hand holds a bowl filled with medicinal nectar and his right hand holds a medicinal plant. Through relying on Medicine Buddha with faith we develop a special power of body, speech, and mind, which we can then use to help others through healing actions. Therefore, with Medicine Buddha’s help, living beings in these impure times can be cured of heavy physical and mental diseases, and find release from the internal pain of the three poisons: attachment, anger, and ignorance. They can also receive protection from many other dangers and obstacles.
WHY RECEIVE THE EMPOWERMENT OF MEDICINE BUDDHA?
Through receiving Medicine Buddha’s blessings, we can make a powerful connection with them, and thus be guided along spiritual paths. Enjoy the company of like-minded people from around Texas, and empower your spiritual life at this special one-day event.
