Find more peace, positivity, and joy in life, whatever your circumstances.
By practicing meditation we become more familiar with positive and beneficial ways of thinking, and reduce our negativity. Our practice also brings us more clarity and confidence. Anyone can learn to meditate, it's just a new skill.
Everybody welcome.
Buddha's timeless wisdom provides practical methods for quieting the mind. We can find meaning within the busy-ness of daily life, as well as effective ways of navigating the many problems in our world.
We have comfortable chairs for meditation. No special clothing is needed. Most classes begin with guided meditation, so please try to arrive a few minutes early to settle in.
We have several weekly drop-in classes, which are suitable for everyone. They include guided meditation, practical teachings, Q&A and discussion.
Special courses and mini-retreats give you a taste of meditation and Buddha's timeless wisdom. Suitable for newcomers and those with some experience.
Membership is a cost effective way to take full advantage of classes. We're a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the development of world peace.
SAT, January 25 | 11am - 12:30pm
We sometimes set up an 'all or nothing' approach to things. We believe that if we're not able to do something perfectly we've failed, and our actions were wasted effort. In this class we will look at how to let go of perfectionism and nourish positive attitudes of self-acceptance instead. We'll learn to be more skillful and gentle with ourselves, develop real confidence, and the strength to progress towards becoming the person we wish to be.
SAT, February 8 | 2 - 4:30pm
Going for refuge means finding inner protection from our problems by developing special Dharma realizations with the help of Buddha’s blessings and the encouragement from our Sangha friends.
FRI, February 14 | 6:30 - 8pm
Join us for a joyful evening of community connection, laughter, wisdom, as we enjoy appetizers, mocktails and chocolate! Together we will take a lighthearted look at kindness and love… according to Buddha.
