STRESS LESS through MEDITATION

Take a little more time out of the day in order to develop peace of mind. The Wednesday Lunchtime Meditation includes a teaching and meditation. In each class Gen Kelsang Wangpo, an ordained Buddhist monk and our Resident Teacher, will explain a bit of Buddha’s wisdom so that we can stress less and enjoy more!

In this 45-minute class there will be a brief teaching on how to control our mind through meditation. Each week we will look at the different ways our mind creates our stress, anxiety, and frustration, and, how our mind can create peace, calm, and happiness. There is also a guided meditation so that we can strengthen our best mental qualities and work to eliminate the bothersome ones!

SIMPLY BREATHE

Take a little more time out of the day in order to develop peace of mind. The Monday Lunchtime Meditation includes a teaching and meditation. In each class Gen Kelsang Wangpo, an ordained Buddhist monk and our Resident Teacher, will explain a bit of Buddha’s wisdom so that we can enjoy meditation!

In this 30 minute class there will be a brief overview of meditation. Each week, we will look at different ways we can develop mental skills to have a good meditation practice. There is also a guided meditation so that we can develop our meditative abilities. Regular attendees will be able to improve their ability to meditate.

MOVE YOUR MIND

In half an hour you can learn about perspectives on life that Buddhists use to have a positive attitude and then develop them in meditation. You can easily drop in to these simple meditation sessions and develop a positive state of mind to help you through the day.

In this 30 minute class there will be a brief teaching so we can develop our mind through meditation. Every class includes a brief overview of a Buddhist perspective on life. When we meditate on these Buddhist views, we come to understand life differently, more positively.  Naturally, there is guided meditation so that we can enjoy a positive attitude and a better perspective on life.



We offer lunchtime meditation classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday every week. (Check the calendar in the case of holidays.) Each class has a unique presentation. 

Mondays we emphasize meditation technique.
Tuesdays we focus on the purpose of meditation.
Wednesdays we use meditation to reduce stress, anxiety, and frustration.
